Born in 1971 in Nicosia, Cyprus, married with two children, Platonas is a distinguished professional with a remarkable academic journey. Graduating with distinction from Apostolos Petros & Pavlos Lyceum in Limassol, he continued at the Higher Technical Institute (H.T.I.), Nicosia, earning a B.Eng. (Hons) Degree from the University of Glamorgan (UK) with a scholarship. His expertise extends to Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR), where he's a sought-after speaker in ADR and Ethics conferences. With extensive experience, Platonas adeptly handles complex contractual matters, offering expert advice and conducting over 50 Arbitrations/Adjudications. A Chartered Civil Engineer in the UK and registered in Cyprus, he's a Fellow of prestigious institutions. His impactful work spans earthquake engineering, structural design, retrofitting, monument restoration, and project management. Platonas represents Cyprus in international committees, including ECCE, FIB, and FIDIC, and holds key roles in CIArb and the Cyprus Scientific and Technical Chamber.
